Mr. Sassy Pants

I think to myself, “How the hell did I get the nerve to do that?”
The video of me singing to the wonderful Mr. John O’Callaghan.
Last night at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD I went to see The Maine. I got smuggled into the front. This had to be my favorite part about the show. Before John played Take Me Dancing acoustically, I somehow managed to get his attention while he was up there. He pointed to me and said “What’s up?” The whole venue went silent. I excitedly yelled “John, I wrote a song about The Maine and I want to know if I can sing it.” He said “You need to C calm down from a 10 to a 7. You’re jacked. Did you have too many energy drinks?” I yelled “No, I’m just really amped. Anyway, I wrote a song about The Maine and I want to know if I can sing it.” John asked “You wrote a song about us?” I yelled “Yes. It’s a parody of Loud Music by Michelle Branch and I want to know if I can sing it.” John said “Find me after the show and you can sing it then.” I yelled “Thank you.” Then he proceeded to dedicate Take Me Dancing to me. I was nearly in tears. Throughout most of the song, John was looking at me and I thought I was going to hit the ground. After the show a very long while later, John came out. Security told us the rules and we all ran with them. When I got to John, I said “John, I need to go home soon and you said you wanted to hear my song.” John said “Okay, let’s hear it.” I sang my song and throughout it all, John was doing these weird things while I was singing. I’ll post the video of it later. I really can’t explain it all. Then after all the singing and randomness that ensued during the song, I told John I had an extraordinary request. I asked him if he could sign two shirts, Pioneer, a paper in four sections, and if he could please write Please please baby come back and sign it. He did it all after I made him use my black Sharpie and then I asked him for a picture. After the picture, John said “Let’s take another one.” I said “Ok.” I wrapped my arms around him and then he said “No, not a normal one. Let’s take one that embodies what happened tonight.” He then suggested we stand back to back and sing our hearts out. I sang Girls Do What They Want as it was happening. After the picture, I spoke to John about a possible collaboration and he said he would love to collaborate with me. He must’ve really liked what he heard. Then I accidentally dropped my stuff and asked for some space so I could pick it up because everyone was so tightly packed. John was yelling for people to back up so I could pick my stuff up. When I picked my stuff up, John hugged me again and we said our goodbyes. Well, that’s my story
I (still) can’t believe John O’Callaghan dedicated Take Me Dancing to me last night at The Fillmore. Apparently, all the crazy shit I pulled while in the crowd was worth it in the end.
This was taken nearly two hours ago. I’m freaking happy out of my mind right now.
met this girl last night!! tried to help her get to the front when John dedicated take me dancing to her..no one would budge..
That’s because the people in the front were being extremely selfish. I bet if they were the one who got a song dedicated to them by John Ohh, they would understand.
